Where WebWork Started
The story of WebWork began all the way back in early 2016 with our founder, Vahagn Sargsyan. As the leader of a web development firm with international clients, he needed to track time to present as proof of work. However, after experimenting with lots of time trackers, Vahagn and his team weren’t able to find what they needed.
There were no time trackers on the market that fulfilled their meticulous needs. It looked like they would have to adjust their expectations and settle for an imperfect tool. However, Vahagn eventually had a better idea: to develop his own time tracker from scratch.
WebWork began as one of Vahagn’s side projects. Initially, he worked on all aspects of the tracker: from developing the app to writing its UI. The reason for this was simple: he was passionate about making an app that would reflect his vision of the perfect time tracker.

Following the app’s initial success in his personal use, Vahagn expanded the project’s scope. Our team began working on WebWork and building on its potential. However, we didn’t want to take things too fast just yet. While we were striving to grow, we opted to avoid outside funding in the early stages of development.
To this day, we’ve taken zero investment from any third parties, like venture capital firms.
Being completely self-funded has meant that it took us longer to perfect WebWork. But, it has allowed us to create the product we have always envisioned: one that delivers outstanding value to its users instead of extracting value from them.

The Start of WebWork’s Exponential Growth
While WebWork has been an ever-evolving project, its development really started picking up steam in 2020—when the pandemic shook the world. As remote work became the new normal, WebWork transformed into a full-fledged workforce and productivity management tool.
Our new goal was simple: help businesses navigate the ever-changing landscape of work.
